- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Silvers requested I set up a followup appointment to take care of a filling he noted on the x-rays. When I returned, was numbed up, and Dr. Silvers started working he said he was conducting a root canal and it would require a cap also. The cost difference was substantial (~$170 to pull the tooth vs $550 for the root canal +$1400 for the cap). I couldn't afford it and if asked would have had him pull the tooth or just left it. Dr. Silvers seemed like a pretty good guy but his action was distinctly misleading. Now, I am being billed for the $550 (and paying it along with the finance charges) but only have a broken tooth (the temp filling fell out then the remaining tooth broke) with a root canal to show for it. After doing the root canal, Dr. Silvers said he would remove the tooth, for an additional $170. Very disappointed.February 27, 2017by JoeNormal47
